Keplerey is a Qt-based application for fast browsing through local database of Mendeley Desktop and opening associated files. It might be used on a system without Mendeley Desktop installed, provided the sqlite-database and (if necessary) the folder(s) with the associated files are copied there.
While Mendeley and other reference managers are powerful tools for importing documents, parsing pdf-files, managing bibliographies for LaTeX and office packages, etc., they are not very convenient when it comes to extensive work with the literature itself. Keplerey is designed to access needed files with minimum actions: just begin typing, and matched records appear on the fly.
Keplerey also allows to manage (copy/move/delete) selected associated files.
Keplerey is not an official Mendeley application, it is provided "as is" without expressed or implied warranty of any kind.

- multiple path conversion (to open associated files on a platform without Mendeley Desktop installed)
- open associated web-pages by DOI, arXiv id, or URL in a browser
- in authors mode, Cyrillic names are transliterated (e.g., typing "ivanov" returns both "Ivanov" and "Иванов")
- tags might be combined using "and"/"or" logic
- check for documents with empty tags
- copy/move/delete associated files for specific tag(s), author(s), or search results
